I'm an experienced, accredited and registered Mental Health Service Provider based in Jesmond, Newcastle and online.

 

​I have provided over 20 years of specialised clinical psychology assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions to patients dealing with challenges to their mental health. As a consultant within the NHS I set up and led a specialist Clinical Psychology Service within the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. I am also the creator and lead for Clinical Psychology Newcastle.

I started my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DocCinPsy) in 2001, successfully completing it in 2004. Prior to this I completed my first degree in Psychology in 1995 and began a career in academic research within the field of psychology including completion of an MSc in research and statistics. 

​

I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC PYL24977) clinical psychology's governing body and adhere strictly to their professional standards, code of conduct, confidentiality and ethics. 

​

I am an accredited CAT practitioner and registered with the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapists (ACAT), I am also a trained EMDR practitioner and registered with EMDR UK. I have also undertaken accredited training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as well as Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness (MBSR accredited).
